LEON SPINKS THE RICHES TO RAGS BOXER

Leon Spinks won Olymic gold in 1976.  He turned pro and in only his eighth bout he won the heavyweight title from Muhammed Ali only to lose it back to Ali a few months later. In his later years he is reported to have been almost destitute.  He is the father of boxer Cory Spinks and can usually be seen close to his son's corner when Cory fights.
